From the age of 16, Amina Danbara had fantasized about her dream wedding. She wanted the right blend of colours, a diamond ring in particular for her engagement, a 6ft tall man who would be very wealthy, influential and handsome. She even shared most of her plans and wishes to her friends at that tender age.

She attended College in England because her parents were also wealthy. So after bagging a First Class degree in Physiology from the Coventry University, she proceeded to run her Masters degree program and finished with great results.

While in College, she was very disciplined and passionate about her studies that she did not have any romantic affair before she graduated. Different shapes and sizes of men approached her and tried to woo her into having romantic affairs with them; but she turned down all. Apart from the fact that she was committed to her studies, she did not find a perfect match for herself among all the suitors.

She returned back to Nigeria after her Masters degree and got a very good job in the Federal Capital Territory; it wasn't hard to secure one considering her academic prowess and family influence. It was not until 6 months after she returned that she came in contact with Ray Kingston, he was born and bred by his parents in South Carolina in the United States of America but was from the South East geo-political zone in the country.

Amina and Ray became very close friends and with time, emotions set in and they began dating. She was very excited about Ray and the fact that she got what she desired in a man. It was at a musical concert that Ray proposed to Amina and with all excitement; she said 'yes'. Her joy knew no bounds, her ring was a diamond ring she dreamt of having when she was 16 years old and her fiance was the perfect description of what she wanted.

She had earlier told her mother that she was in a relationship and that she was very happy with the man. After the concert, she went to her parents house to break the news to them. Her mother was over joyed that her daughter finally had a suitor she had agreed to marry but her dad didn't want to listen to the 'supposed' good news. When he asked her about the background of Ray and she told him that he was from the Igbo descent; her father became furious and told Amina and her mother that she would never be allowed to marry Ray.

This is Amina's plight! She adores her father and she has never disobeyed him but she loves Ray and connects to him in a way no man has ever been to her; she found her happiness in him and he was the definition of her dream man, his parents didn't have a problem with her as they welcomed her to their home. As she deliberated on the decision to take regarding her marriage choice, little did she know that Ray had other plans for her, plans she would soon find could break her very spirit...
