How to relax before your wedding day

Planning a wedding is stressful; picking colors, venue, vendors, outfits, rings, items in the menu, decoration, guest list. All these are activities that have to be done to ensure a hitch free ceremony. With all these activities to do, it is easy to feel burned out before that special day. You can’t afford to feel less than perfect on that special day, hence adopt these tips and you will relieve stress before your wedding day.

 

  1. Eat Healthy and Exercise: Regardless of the pressure of organizing your wedding ceremony, it is important that you eat healthy. Load up on fruits and vegetables, drink lots of water, and reduce your intake of coffee, alcohol and junk food. All these leave you feeling tired and depleted. In addition, take out time to exercise; visit the gym and take walks.
  2. Comic Relief: You are clearly under a great deal of stress, you feel like you are pulled in a thousand different directions. It is easy to feel trapped in the web of details, decisions and deadlines. A good way to defuse tension is by getting a comic relief. You can do this by watching a funny movie, going out to a comic show, read a hearty book or just hang out with your friends and have a great time. Having a good laugh is a great way to reduce the stress you feel during the wedding plan phase.
  3. Indulge in a day at the spa: There is nothing more relaxing than a pleasure filled day at the spa. Get a facial, receive a massage, get pampered and enjoy the cocktails. You can go alone or with your friends. Regardless of whichever you pick, going to the spa is a good way to defuse tension and relive stress. A time out at the spa will have you feeling great and looking good for that special day.
  4. Date Night: It is quite easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of wedding plans and decisions. At this juncture, romance is quickly replaced with meetings, decisions, plans and vendors. A good way to relax is to schedule a date night where you both forget about the wedding plans and rekindle the romance. A date night is quite helpful as it reminds you of the spark you have for your lover. It is also a good tactic that can be employed in marriage.
  5. Spend time outdoors: Spending time with Mother Nature remains one of the best ways to relieve stress. Plan a picnic, take long walks in the evening, go to a park or visit a garden. All of these activities will have receive cool breeze, feel the sun on your skin and most of all feel relaxed. In addition, you get to learn from Mother Nature how things always work out for good in the end.
